We become a retirement cliche. . .

Across Glacier, ‘Too many years’ then on to the Giant Heads. . .

Which is actually to say:  Montana was amazing-- resplendent with a ride on the 'Going to the Sun' road and hike in the woods, a 70th birthday celebration BBQ full of little Mary & Joanne surprises popping up, and now South Dakota soon to visit Rushmore.

The internet remains a challenge -- or perhaps letting go of technology is the real test.  Overall, the kaleidoscopic shifts of our RV campsites have caused some humor, frustration, and introspection.  Odd juxtapositions of nature and neon (Nevada); the site in SLC which prompted a fellow camper to remark "So sorry you have the worst site in the park"  and Lark to tell us we were in a not great area of the city.  Next the infamous one near Yellowstone offering the beautiful lake, endless bear warnings and very funky water!  A beautiful park with unusual floral arrangements in Missoula, gentle rain and then the piercing, strange hissing sound in the middle of the night.   Chuck was off at an all-night gym (got lost on the way back, BTW). "Ray?  Joanne?"  I jumped up to see if the AC unit was blowing up, and then we realized it was a train!

Our three night visit with Dave and Mary Dixon in Lakeside, MT.  was a welcome respite --a peaceful time out of the camper.  On the following night in Wyoming God gifted us with a great sunset over a bucolic farmland view.  Now, we are in one of the best campsites so far – You campers out there note this:  Buffalo Ridge Camp in Custer South Dakota.  Gorgeous …. Clean bathrooms and showers, laid back rules, and an Adults only swimming pool. Close to lots of things to do!

We are cooking over the campfire, meeting our neighbor campers and enjoying hikes, and sites!

More Vlogs to follow on Glacier and beyond!
